You can't call yourself a fiddle player unless you know "The Orange Blossom Special" and you can't call yourself a furniture maker unless you can do a dovetailed blanket chest. This example is made from solid black walnut. Inside, the chest's floor is made of aromatic red cedar. The sides gently flare from top to bottom and the "half-blind" dovetails are cut on the same flare by hand. It is available in walnut, cherry and fumed, quarter sawn white oak.
